I prefer using natural clays to create home made face masks due to their incredible ability to draw out toxins, impurities, and bacteria from the skin. Many clays also draw out excess oils, making them a great choice for those with oily or acne-prone skin as well. Natural clays are also extremely effective at toning, exfoliating, and tightening the skin- a huge bonus for us 30+ mamas, or anyone who wants to prevent the signs of aging!

Creating your own home made face mask is easy, here are the basics you’ll need to get started:

  • Kitchen Scale
  • Small Air-Tight Container With Lid (You can easily upcycle a container you already have)
  • Spoon
  • Ingredients for your face mask recipe (Choose the recipe below that is best for your skin type, or simply use them as a guide and create your own!)

I prefer to create a dry clay mix, and then simply remove a couple teaspoons at a time, place into small bowl, add wet ingredients & apply! With this method no preservatives are necessary, you don’t have to worry about it going bad, and you can have a freshly made face mask in seconds!

For optimal results it’s important to choose clays that are best for your skin type.
